Day 13
PROVISION:
Personal Finances
When we handle our finances God’s way, He will always give us what we need and will provide even when things seem against us. Biblical stewardship is based on the belief that everything belongs to God and that we are taking care of His resources during our time on earth. How we handle God’s money is a determining factor to so many things - how we spend our time, how we’re able to bless people, our stress, our availability, ect.
1 Timothy 6:17-19
17 Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment. 18 Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others. 19 By doing this they will be storing up their treasure as a good foundation for the future so that they may experience true life.
Pray that we could trust God for His provision and that we could always feel blessed - when we have a lot or a little.
Pray that God would help us be content with what we have.
Pray that God, who gives us the ability to earn, would give us wisdom as we use our gifts to honor him and provide for our families or ourselves.
Pray that God would give us self-control as we spend, save, and give.
Pray that God would help us instill the habit of the tithe (giving 10% back to God) into our financial routine.
Pray that we could be sensitive to opportunities that come our way to bless others and be used by Him with the finances we’ve been entrusted with.
