Day 18
PROVISION:
Generosity
God is a giver and He wants us to be like Him. And this isn’t just a virtue connected to finances. “For God so loved the world that he gave….” Jesus’ life, given for us on the cross, was the greatest example of generosity the world has ever seen.
Jesus said some amazing things when it comes to generosity.
“It’s better to give than to receive.”
“Freely you’ve received, freely give.”
May we as a church champion generosity and have the same heart Jesus had when he laid down His life for us.
2 Corinthians 8:3-4
For I testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability. Entirely on their own, they urgently pleaded with us for the privilege of sharing in this service to the Lord’s people.
Pray that we could be generous with our time, resources, finances, and wisdom.
Pray that God would multiply our gifts for the expansion of His work.
Pray that God help us be grounded in the cause of The Gospel.
Pray that our generosity would impact our community and point them to Christ.
